A major benefit of PCTV is the quick and easy Internet access directly available through your TV set without giving up the usual high-quality picture provided by IPTV. Additional Digital-TV value-added services (VAS) are also made available to guests: They can now look forward to Infotainment at its best: From Video-on-Demand functions to weather forecast to the point of playback camera recordings. Finally it is particularly remarkable if you wish to know who is at the door before you invite them in.

„PCTV is a fine add-on to our IPTV-HD-product particularly for the upmarket hotel industry“, explained Dirk Wahrheit, Managing Director of Macnetix. Business guests for example have the option to conduct video conferences through the TV-monitor directly in their hotel room. Online-meetings can be organised with multiple parties via Skype without high costs involved. It is user-friendly due to the easy menu navigation. The system is either controlled with a remote control or a keyboard.

„Our products are continously refined and upgraded so that we are up-to-date at all times“, said Dirk Wahrheit. As a result we can offer interactive Online-services of the highest quality. PCTV is an additional module to the IPTV-HD by Macnetix, whereby the Set-Top-Box will be replaced by a quick, silent Mini-PC with a multi-core processor. The latter has the ability to store large quantities of data and play them back without losing the quality.

PCTV by Macnetixis is already successfully operational at the Dormero Hotel Hannover. The innovative system from the software company in Berlin has already been installed in 293 guest rooms in this hotel.
